HOMERTON PANEL REPRESENTATIVES
The Neighbourhood Area Panel serves as a higher-level resident representation focused on addressing housing and community issues, reviewing service performance, and influencing policy within housing management areas. Each Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) appoints two representatives to vote and act on its behalf. Across Hackney, there are six panels: Central, Clapton, Homerton, Shoreditch, Stamford Hill, and Stoke Newington. Our TRA participates in the Homerton Panel where we are represented by:
Sibyl B., Banister House
Philipp L., Priory Court
PRIORY COURT SUB-COMMITTEE
Established at the AGM in May 2025, the Priory Court Sub-Committee focuses on addressing specific issues and initiatives unique to the Priory Court estate. The members and terms of the sub-committee will be defined at the inaugural meeting. The group aims to advance projects such as the window replacement program and collaborate with the council to improve the governance of repairs.
PRIORY COURT GARDEN SUB-COMMITTEE
Following a motion passed at an ETRA meeting in 2024, the Priory Court Garden Sub-Committee was formed to improve the gardens for the community. After conducting an initial survey, the group is in the process of defining its terms. A meeting will soon be held to elect officers so that they can secure funding and develop a comprehensive plan for the garden.
We are exploring the creation of additional sub-committees to ensure equal representation for both estates, following similar structures. These new sub-committees may include a Banister House sub-committee, a Banister House Garden sub-committee and committe to revitalise the Banister House Community Hall.
